38th SEANET Convention Shanghai China Nov 2010
Just back from Shanghai and WHAT A PLACE. What one hears about China is simply not true. Shanghai is the most bustling city and really friendly. We all went there as strangers and parted as best friends.Everyone looks good and nobody is starving and looks unhappy.
I even saw a couple shouting at a policeman for asking them to leave as they were selling their wares illegally. The policeman just smiled and made no comment. If that had been in any other country the couple would be in jail. Still people say the chines have no freedom. What Crap!
Seanet was longer that usual started on Thursday and on till Sunday. Many stayed longer and we had a great welcome and it was fantastiic seeing old friends like Thida, Chea, Gary & Janice, Godfrey & Stella, Turid & Mimis Bakar & Juliana, Salleh Rahman and many many more.
The food was fantastic and so much of it that it was good we had a lot of walking to do to see Shanghai. The BUND was amazing and so was the Shanghai Tower.
It will be difficult to forget the hospitality of Mr Gu, Mr Chen, Michael Ye, Alden and so many more people who made this Seanet so meaningful.

The next Seanet is in Brunei and lets see what we have in store. The bar has risen so much but I am sure Brunei can do this. In 2012 we will meet in Kuala Lumpur .
Have fun and those who missed Shanghai EAT YOUR HEART out as this was one of the best Seanets I ever attended.
